Dolphins re-sign QB Matt Moore

.

The Miami Dolphins have brought back their backup quarterback, Matt Moore, to a two-year, $3.5 million contract. Moore, 31, went undrafted in 2007 out of Oregon State University, and has spent the past five years with the Dolphins. He will continue to backup Ryan Tannehill. Moore had interest from a few different teams, including his old team, the Dallas Cowboys.

Moore was signed by the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent, but was cut and claimed by the Carolina Panthers, where he stayed for four seasons. Moore has 5,356 yards in his career, and had his best success in 2011, where he started 12 games for the Dolphins.

The Miami Dolphins will now turn their attention to the running back position, after losing out on Denver Broncos RFA C.J. Anderson. The Dolphins lost Lamar Miller to free agency, and have a large hole in the backfield. One option could be the draft, which will be held in April 28-30.
