Tonight, in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals, The Philadelphia Flyers came back from a 3-0 deficit in the first period to defeat the Pittsburgh Penguins in overtime 4-3. The Flyers comeback started in the second period, when they got a goal from Danny Briere which gave the team momentum. Then, the Flyers put the comeback together as it became the Danny Briere, Brayden Schenn show. Briere got this second goal of the game to put the Flyers within one and then Brayden Schenn tied it up with a power play.
Even though, goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov did not have a strong first period, he was a rock in the second and third periods and kept the Flyers in the game. Finally, to finish off the comeback, Jakub Voracek gets the game winning goal and sends the Flyers into Game 2 with 1-0 series lead.
