Don’t fear the unknown

The Colts gear up for what’s ahead

Pro Bowl tight end Dallas Clark, whose versatility frequently forced a defense to alter its approach, is out for the season with tendon damage in his right wrist. Wide receiver Austin Collie is out indefinitely after undergoing surgery on his right thumb.

The running back situation? Good luck sorting through it. Leading rusher Joseph Addai probably will miss at least this game with nerve damage in his left shoulder. Backup Donald Brown has missed the past three games with a hamstring injury and didn’t practice Thursday.

If Addai and Brown are unable to play, it’s Mike Hart and rookie Javarris James.
