Dorial Green-Beckham will not play for Oklahoma in 2014

Over the past month, there have been rumblings that Oklahoma was “very confident” that their waiver to allow Dorial Green-Beckham to play this season would be approved. This was quite perplexing to myself and most of the college football world. The only way I felt DBG would be eligible was if Missouri went to bat for DGB and I just couldn’t see that happening.

One on hand it’s disappointing that we won’t get to see DGB display his talents for OU in 2014, but on the other hand there has to be consequences for actions not fitting a student athlete.

There is no doubt that DBG is one of the finest receivers in the Nation and a top NFL prospect. Now it’s up to DBG to keep his nose clean for a year and we will wait and see if he comes back to Oklahoma or if he heads for the NFL.
