If you read some of my earlier blogs, you will know I hate it when media outlets have an agenda with covering certain sports teams for financial reasons (ESPN & NFL and the Sabres and WGR). For the last week or so, Trent Edwards has been getting lit up on WGR. I’ve taken the stance that a lot of his criticism has been a tad unfair, because its preseason and the Bills have been without Owens. Obviously, WGR doesn’t agree with my opinion. But WGR does have a tendency to use the injury excuse more than enough when it comes to talking Sabres.
I’ve heard Howard Simon, Jeremy White, and Schopp & the Bulldog constantly say the reason the Sabres didn’t make the playoffs last year was because of the injury to Ryan Miller. They stick to the excuse like glue. Is it just me or is that the same situation when it comes to Edwards struggling? Let me know if I am wrong.
