Both MLB.com and JSOnline.com are reporting that Brewers’ starter Doug Davis went to the Emergency Room at Froedtert Hospital. By the gist of the article–Davis was “not feeling well”–it appears that the medical condition is not a baseball related injury…in other words, a virus or other disease as opposed to an injury.
Despite Davis’ poor start to the season, skipper Ken Macha kept his rotation so that all three lefty starters–Wolf, Narveson and Davis–would start against the Phillies…and their left-handed super bats of Ryan Howard, Chase Utley, and Raul Ibanez. Instead, Dave Bush will get the nod tonight.
Best wishes from all of us at The Brewers Bar and Bloguin to Doug Davis for a speedy recovery.
