Will the Kentucky freshman be the first guard off the board in the 2016 NBA Draft?

[table id=95 /]

Strengths:

  •  One of the best scorers in the draft (if not the top)
  •  Great size for an NBA guard
  •  Can play both backcourt positions, projects as more of a SG at this point
  •  Crafty finisher around the rim
  •  Creates his own shot off the dribble
  •  Terrific outside shooter with range to the NBA 3-point line
  •  Good court vision, sees the floor well
  •  Consistent threat to get to the FT line
  •  Has some Brandon Roy in his game
  •  Success on the international level with Team Canada
  •  All-Star Potential

Weaknesses:

  • Shot selection can be questionable
  • Not an elite athlete; won’t finish above the rim
  • Average defender
  • Can be turnover prone

Red Flags:

  • No off-court issues
