Draw the line

The Pirates aren’t playing well right now. They’re not getting calls, they’re not getting hits, they’re in a park they never play well in, and they’re facing one of baseball’s best pitchers today. They’ve dropped four in a row and haven’t looked particularly good in doing so. They’re seriously in danger of squandering all of the excitement and good will that being a game over .500 earlier in the week built for them.

Still, we’re at a point in the season were all it takes to turn that around is a win this afternoon. If the Bucs win today, they’ve got two in a row against the Nationals ahead on the schedule and they could make this four-game losing streak a blip on the radar. This is the sort of game this team has to find a way to win if they want to show that they’re better than past iterations of the Pirates.

First pitch today is at 2:10. Zack Greinke goes for the Brewers, Kevin Correia for the Pirates.
