When the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday afternoon at 4:15 PM, they will be without starting cornerback Asante Samuel.

Samuel missed the last three days of practice due to an injured hamstring which he suffered during the game versus the Jets. Samuel this season has 34 tackles, one forced fumble, and three interceptions. Samuel did not accompany the team to Dallas.

Starting in place of Samuel will be Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. This season, Rodgers-Cromartie has 23 tackles and that’s it. The Eagles acquired DRC this past offseason by trading QB Kevin Kolb to the Arizona Cardinals. This is the game where DRC can show his worth to the Eagles and propel them to a potential spot in the playoffs.
