Drew, Beckett, Lowell, and More

J.D. Drew tweaked his hamstring in last night’s game.  Mr. Injury finds just can’t stay healthy:

“His left calf was hurting and then he was trying to compensate, and he felt his right hammy, so it was cold so we got him out of there,” manager Terry Francona said after the Red Sox’s 7-6 victory. “That ended up being the best thing I did all night.”

Josh Beckett’s back tightened up during the game last night.  He will have to be reexamined today to see if he can make his next start.

Mike Lowell has asked the Red Sox to release him so he can play more elsewhere.

Dice-K and V-Mart both met with Tito to work out their issues from Monday night.
