There’s more disturbing news and bad publicity this morning on the Pacman Jones front.
WTVF NewsChannel 5 in Nashville has obtained copies of taped telephone conversations of convicted drug dealer Darryl Moore, a friend of Pacman. Moore is the man who was the focus of a drug investigation last year which resulted in nine arrests, the confiscation of nearly a ton of drugs and 20 vehicles, including an unregistered Cadillac connected to Pacman.
According to Moore, Pacman was smoking marijuana heavily at the time of the conversations and betting thousands of dollars on college football games.
My question is this: How much dope does a person have to smoke before a drug dealer thinks he’s smoking “heavily”?
Here’s what Moore said in the wiretaps about Pacman:
“We gotta slow down, man. We gotta get him focused on football, man. He’s focused on too much other s****.”
and
“You know, I was talkin’ to him the other day about smokin’, and he was like man, if I didn’t smoke I couldn’t take all the stress that I’m dealing with right now.’ “
and
“He gotta concentrate on season…that ******* drug test coming up. We telling him he needed 33 days before he took his ******* test; dry-out, and he didn’t…that’s let me know right there that he ain’t taking his ****** job serious.”
Moore also said coach Jeff Fisher even went to Pacman’s home to talk to him.
“Fisher’s being as patient as a m*****f***** as he can. Fisher gotta win. Fisher trying to win…He ain’t putting up with that s***.”
I’m sure this made Fisher’s day.
