Ducks in the NFL: Paysinger, Paulson square off, Alonso starts

Buffalo Sabres v Vancouver Canucks

Spencer Paysinger was the Giants leading tackler in their 18-13 victory over Pittsburgh Saturday night. Paysinger had 5 stops as the defense held the home team to just 218 yards and 14 first downs.

Steelers tight end David Paulson grabbed one pass for 13 yards in the loss.

Buffalo travels to Indiana in the NFL’s only game today, currently being broadcast on the NFL network. Starting for the Bills, Kiko Alonso already has two tackles with the score 0-0 in the second quarter.

Update: Alonso finished with two solo tackles, an assist and one pass deflection in a 44-20 Buffalo victory. John Boyett did not record a stat for the Colts. Jairus Byrd, designated the Bills franchise player, is still in a bitter contract dispute with the team and still has not reported to camp.
