Oh happy day! Hank Steinbrenner has emerged from his bunker to the delight of bloggers everywhere. If you were reading Fenway West in 2007 and 2008 then you were farmiliar with some of the gems that would come out of Hank’s mouth, like this, this, or this. After 2008 Hank hid from the media as his more resereved brother Hal spoke for Yankees ownership. Here is the latest gem of wisdom to come out of Dumbass Hank’s mouth in an interview with the NY Post:
“nobody ever makes excuses for us. If the Red Sox have injuries it’s ‘Oh, the injuries.’ If the Rays have injuries, if the Phillies have injuries, it’s ‘the injuries. If the Yankees have injuries, nobody in the media acknowledges that.”
Maybe it’s time to print some more Dumbass Hank T-shirts.
