When it was announced that former head coach Chip Kelly was out of Philadelphia, many assumed that it was not just the former college football genius setting sail, but many of his staff as well.

Following the announcement that Doug Pederson would take the reigns as the new head coach of the Eagles, many coaching staff changes were announced as well. Most notably, defensive coordinator Billy Davis, and offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur will not return to the Eagles’ sidelines in 2016.

During his official introduction, Pederson announced that Jim Schwartz will be the new defensive coordinator. Former San Diego Chargers offensive coordinator Frank Reich will now serve as the OC for the Eagles.

The Eagles also announced a host of new coaches including:

  • Greg Lewis, Wide Receivers
  • Tim Hauck, Defensive Backs
  • Phillip Daniels, Defensive Quality Control Assistant
  • Eugene Chung, Offensive assistant
  • Ken Flajole, Linebackers
  • Dinno Vasso, Defensive Quality Control

Though a slew of new coaches are joining the Eagles, seven coaches and assistants from the Kelly era will remain, including running back coach Duce Staley, special teams coach Dave Fipp, defensive backs coach Cory Undlin, offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland, tight ends coach Justin Peelle, offensive quality control assistant Press Taylor, and special teams assistant Matthew Harper.

The search is not quite over, as the Eagles are still on the hunt for a defensive line coach, and quarterback coach. Expect those names to be announced soon, as Pederson continues to settle into his new gig in Philadelphia.
