On Sunday afternoon, The Philadelphia Eagles took on the Miami Dolphins at Sun Life Stadium. And for all Eagles fans this game didn’t start well as the Dolphins took the lead 7-0 in the 1st quarter. Dolphins QB Matt Moore went right after Eagles CB Nnamdi Asomugha on the first TD and placed the ball in the perfect spot so that his WR Brandon Marshall could go and get it.

But then things changed from that point on as the Eagles offense took over and scored 24 straight unanswered points in the 2nd quarter. In this quarter, LeSean McCoy scored two rushing TDs and is now one behind Steve Van Buren for the record for total tds in a season in team history. Also Eagles WR DeSean Jackson had a touchdown as well and that was his first TD since they played Buffalo in Week 5.

Finally, the Eagles defense stepped up and had 9 sacks for 60 yards, a safety, three forced fumbles, recovered two of those fumbles, and had one interception. So the Eagles defense and the whole team stepped up when it mattered the most. For the Eagles to make the playoffs, they have to go 3-0, and the Cowboys and Giants both have to go 1-2 the rest of the way. Next up for the Eagles will be the New York Jets on Sunday afternoon, 4:15 PM on CBS.
