1. Masterpiece of misdirection by Andy Reid: Eagles pick Brandon Graham in 1st Round

I put this one at the top of the list because it was a break-through moment for me of
realizing the shrewd intelligence of Andy Reid…also a key indicator of the changes he
was about to make in building an upgraded model of the Philadelphia Eagles…
2. McNabb Trade: Right move but huge gamble
(April 7, 2010)
This was one of Alex Whiteleather’s last contributions as co-writer…and in my opinion,
the best article he ever wrote. It took a different angle on the McNabb trade, a very
clinical analysis at a time when McNabb hysteria was rampant in Philly.
3. Sustained drives and the great Catch & Stretch: Eagles 34, Texans 24
(December 3, 2010)
I thought this game was the pivotal moment of the 2010 campaign. It was a resilient
performance, a comeback with confidence. Vick was flying high, and nearly every player
contributed a key play.
4. Why Eagles fans are hated: Part 2
(February 18, 2010)
This article required days of research just to get the history right. It may not be my
best work, but it got more hits and links than any other article.
5. Whipsawed again in the playoffs,and Rumors of Change abound
(January 21, 2010)
After the Dallas beat-downs to end the 2009 season, I had a premonition that some kind
of overhaul was about to happen. I did not envision the total scale of change coming…
but I sensed something in the air.
6. Pictures inside an Eagle fan’s head
(March 9, 2010)
I put together this article mostly to make sure younger fans had a chance to see what
the late Tom Brookshier looked like in his Eagles uniform…and to gather in some of the
team signings and releases and “where are they now?” info in a fun way. For some reason
the article clicked, and got a lot of links and hits.
7. Greatest “Young Gunz” QB’s in Eagles History

This was my best article and deepest research piece ever…I thought it would be a killer
column…it drew almost no critical attention, and very few links and hits…
8. Eagles “Mach 10”, The Committee and more at PE.com

This was the most enjoyable piece for me to write. I did a series of introductions to the
wonderful guys who make things perk over at PE.com’s On The Inside fan gallery. These
guys led by Brizer, JB, Leo, Triple D, Kenny, T-Bone, Chris and many other loveable characters have
brought me amazing enlightenment and entertainment to boot.
9. Eagles and Vick cancel Peyton Place, 26-24
(November 8, 2010)
Beating Peyton Manning for the first time in Eagles history? Priceless…what a game to
cover! I think this was my best game write-up of the season, made more special by the play of Vick.
10. Eagles Bye Week Review: 10 Bad Calls I made about the Birds
(October 27, 2010)
This was a fun article to write because it meant the Eagles of 2010 were actually
shaping up as a far better team than I had first analyzed or predicted. This was my version of “If loving
you is wrong, I don’t wanna be right!”
