The Eagles-Bears Monday Night Football game didn’t start off in the Eagles favor. The Bears on their first drive of the game went down the field and scored a TD. As fans, you could’ve sensed that it could be a long night for the Birds.
About midway in the 2nd quarter, the Eagles were down 10-0 until they got a field goal by rookie kicker Alex Henery. That field goal barely made it through the uprights. Then the Eagles defense stepped up and got a turnover off of Bears RB Matt Forte, and turned that into seven points by rookie LB Brian Rolle.
In this game, you was waiting for the Eagles to take control, and you thought that would have happened when Eagles RB LeSean McCoy ran for a 33 yard touchdown. However, it was to good to be true. A defensive penalty by Eagles CB Nnamdi Asomugha and bad defense by Eagles CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromarite marred this game. This game might have killed any chances of the Eagles making the playoffs.
