Eagles look to make it two in a row vs Cowboys

The last time the Philadelphia Eagles faced the Dallas Cowboys, it wasn’t even close. The Eagles will hope that’s the case again, as they host the ‘Boys in a huge Week 15 clash that could play a huge role in deciding who wins the NFC East crown.

Philly has the leg up after crushing the Cowboys in Dallas just a few weeks ago, but they know Tony Romo and company will come into this game ready to give a beating right back. With both teams tied atop the division at 9-4, it’s arguable that a bigger game doesn’t exist on the league schedule in Week 15.

It goes without saying that this is probably the most crucial game of the year for both of these teams, so it shouldn’t shock anyone that Eagles vs. Cowboys tickets at Lincoln Financial Field come in at over $319 on average and $149 just to get in the door.

Despite a fairly lofty price, the value is still there when you consider the magnitude of this contest, the bitter rivalry between these two teams and the potential explosive showdown that could be in play.

Fans looking to come in from out of town for this December showdown can find Philadelphia hotels available at Hipmunk for less than $100. In fact, the cheapest rate for hotels near Lincoln Financial Field start at $72, less than half of what it will cost you to get into the stadium for the game.

The Eagles have to be confident going into this one, as Dallas hardly even showed up in their own stadium in their last meeting. While that’s encouraging, it’s obviously worth noting that the Eagles played a nearly perfect game, while the ‘Boys played as about as bad as they could have. A lot of the credit for that goes to Philly’s underrated defense, as well as the rebirth of LeSean McCoy and an effective Philly rush offense.

It’s unlikely the Eagles blow out the Cowboys again in such a huge game, but they can absolutely still get the season series sweep if they stay within themselves. It’s going to take another huge effort from Mark Sanchez, who has unfolded in big moments in the past. As important as this game is, how he fares under the pressure could show just how scary the Eagles might be come playoff time. Of course, the Eagles can’t be thinking playoffs just yet, as a loss in Week 15 could send them on a road that doesn’t even include a trip to the post-season.

The key to this game is undoubtedly going to be turnovers. Dallas will try to pound the rock and dictate the tempo of this game with DeMarco Murray, but turnovers got them into trouble last time and they very well could again. Philly’s defense swarmed Romo and sacked him four times in the first meeting, while also pressuring him into two interceptions. If the Eagles can focus on containing Murray and making Romo beat them, they’ll increase their odds of getting the win and will almost certainly have the division in hand.
