Today, the Philadelphia Eagles made some moves to help upgrade their defense. They signed defensive end Everette Brown and cornerback Trevard Lindley. The Eagles signed both Brown and Lindley to two year deals.
Brown is a former second round pick of the Carolina Panthers who has not played up to standard. He was the 43rd pick back in the 2009 NFL Draft out of Florida State. With the Panthers he only recorded six sacks in 28 games. The most surprising number is that he only started in three games with them.
In 2011, the defensive end played in three games for the San Diego Chargers. Brown continued his football journey as he was out of football last year after being released before the season by the Detroit Lions.
Everette Brown worked out for the Eagles in early December and we will see what he brings to this defense as it is in transition. As I stated earlier, the Eagles signed cornerback Trevard Lindley and this is his third time with the team. Who knows, maybe Lindley will be making an impact with the Eagles next season as Nnamdi Asomugha or Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie might not be around.
