Coming in on the list at number 10 is Zach Ertz. The Philadelphia Eagles drafted him in the second round of this years draft at 35th overall. While he is expected to play along side fellow tight end Brent Celek, Ertz should be able to post solid numbers, and really help this team right away as a rookie. Especially with Jeremy Maclin out for the season, he should defiantly look for more balls to be thrown his way.

At Stanford Zach Ertz posted ridiculous numbers for his position. Last year, he put up 6 touchdowns and 898 receiving yards. He has the potential to put these numbers up in the NFL even with competition at his position. It is important to state that he was the number one tight end prospect coming out of high school. Ertz is not your typical tight end, but he is certainly dynamic. His speed gives him an advantage over slow linebackers, and this is why he has been able to rack up receiving yards in his career.

If his college career and potential isn’t enough to convince you that he is going to shine in the league then his progress in training camp should be. Zach Ertsz has reportedly been a stand out, and one of the most impressive at camp thus far. His speed, size, and strength are the attributes that have been noticed, and are exactly what you look for from your tight end. While Ertz expects to be on the field next year, he knows he has to earn it. He said, “In college I was used all over the field. And here I expect kind of the same thing. Obviously I have to earn my reps. I know it’s not going to be handed to me in any sense.”

Ertz is most defiantly going to be used all over the field. He was displayed this way in college, and Chip Kelly did the same thing with his tight ends at Oregon. In his rookie season look for Ertz to be a major difference maker for the Birds. His skills make him a match up nightmare, and this is why he was drafted so early. Coach Kelly knows how to utilize his tight ends, and this is why I expect Zach Ertz to be the most productive at his position. Ertz will make his impact for the Eagles next season, and look to be the most productive tight end.
