Welcome to another edition of the Eagles weekly recap. Compared to last week, the Eagles have slowed down significantly in their free-agency moves, but have not been completely silent. Let’s get into this past week’s news:

  • The Eagles and cornerback Nolan Carroll have agreed to a one-year deal to keep him with the team for another season. Carroll spent the last two seasons with the Eagles, and became a starter last season. Carroll’s presence will help the Eagles as they rebuild their defensive secondary.
  • The Eagles added a familiar target for quarterback Sam Bradford, signing wide-receiver Chris Givens to a one-year deal. Givens has been in the NFL for five seasons since being drafted by the Rams in 2012, and will add a much-needed veteran presence to the Eagles’ young receiving core.
  • Now that the big start of free-agency has come and gone, many believe that Eagles EVP of personnel Howie Roseman will shift all focus to the 2016 NFL draft. That does not mean that the Eagles will not have any more smaller signings, but fans should not expect anything major between now and draft day.

That’s it for this week. Stay tuned with Total Sports Live for the latest on the Philadelphia Eagles.
