Welcome to this week’s edition of the Eagles Weekly Recap. The Eagles wrapped up spring activities this week, and will head into a break before training camp commences in July. Though they are off the field, there is still much to be talked about in the meantime. Let’s get into it:
- This week, the Eagles held mandatory OTAs to wrap-up spring practices. Many reports state that quarterback Sam Bradford shined in the Eagles final practice before breaking for the summer. The mandatory camp also saw the return of running back Darren Sproles, and defensive end Fletcher Cox, both of whom were limited in practices.
- While Cox has returned to the field for the Eagles, he has yet to come to terms with the Eagles on a new contract. While both sides have been quiet on the issue, it is believed that negotiations are still ongoing, and will likely continue into the summer.
- Quarterbacks Sam Bradford, Chase Daniel, and Carson Wentz will use the summer to continue working as a unit. Bradford will hold a passing camp in San Diego over the summer for the three quarterbacks in an effort for them to continue to progress together. Other players such as Darren Sproles, Lane Johnson, and Zach Ertz are also said to be working out in San Diego over the summer.
- In some potentially troubling news, Philadelphia Magazine reports that Eagles second-year wide receiver Nelson Agholor has been accused of sexually assaulting an exotic dancer at Philadelphia’s Cheerleaders Gentlemen’s Club around 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon. Law enforcement is currently investigating the matter, and so far, no charges have been filed.
