Eagles weekly recap: Roster moves, Draft 2016, and more

Hartnell2

Welcome to another edition of the Eagles weekly recap. This week, the Eagles helped some of their newest additions settle in with new deals, sent some players home, and continued some off-season drama. Let’s get into it:

  • The Philadelphia Eagles have officially signed all but one of their newest players who came out of last week’s draft. The only player left: Carson Wentz. That should come to no surprise as the Eagles will take time to ensure their future franchise quarterback is well taken care of.
  • In addition to the draftees, the Eagles signed 16 undrafted free-agents this week who will also be competing for roster spots.
  • With new signees comes some releases. The Eagles announced several releases this week, including running back Kevin Monangai, defensive tackle Travis Raciti, and defensive back Jerome Couplin.
  • This week could not end without some Sam Bradford talk, and the latest word going around is that the quarterback has not been taking any phone calls from Eagles head coach Doug Pederson. This goes along with reports that he will not attend any off-season workouts for the foreseeable future.
