Welcome to this week’s edition of the Eagles Weekly Recap. The Eagles are coming off yet another win this year, and made moves during the week that can be deemed truly special. Let’s get into it:
- This afternoon, the Eagles head to the “home of the 12th man” in Seattle to take on Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks. This contest will be a test of two of the NFL’s best defenses. Eagles fans will get a chance to see how their developing offense behind quarterback Carson Wentz can match-up against the NFL’s elite.
- This week, the Eagles signed three special teams players to contract extensions. On Thursday, the Eagles signed safety Chris Maragos to a three-year contract extension. On Friday, the Eagles signed long-snapper Jon Dorenbos and punter Donnie Jones to three-year extensions as well.
- On the injury front, receiver Jordan Matthews (back), tight end Zach Ertz (hamstring), and cornerback Nolan Carroll (concussion) all returned to practice in the latter part of the week after missing time. All three are expected to play.
- A huge congratulations goes out to former Eagles safety Brian Dawkins who was named a finalist for next year’s Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first year on the ballot.
