Just a stone’s throw from Wrigley Field sits The Metro and Thursday night, the popular Windy City concert venue played host to the fourth annual Hot Stove Cool Music Chicago…a fundraiser to raise money for Cubs Charities and team president Theo Epstein’s Foundation To Be Named Later.
Anyway, before the night was over, Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder was joined on stage by several members of the Cubs including, among others, Jon Lester, Anthony Rizzo, Jason Motte, David Ross, Travis Wood, Jason Hammel and skipper Joe Maddon.
Their song of choice? The ever-optimistic, Vedder-penned “All the Way”.
