Eddie Vedder: “Put Pete Rose in the Hall of Fame”

Eddie Vedder is a huge baseball fan.

True story.

The Chicago Cubs fan has led the seventh inning stretch at Wrigley Field countless times…he’s even penned an anthem of sorts for the team. Heck, alongside fellow troubadours Paul Simon and Jack White, the Pearl Jam front man recently took in a Seattle Mariners-Texas Rangers game back in August.

So, is it really a shock that, before going into “Man of the Hour” during Wednesday night’s show at Cincinnati’s U.S. Bank Arena and with Pete Rose Jr. in the crowd, Vedder dropped an endorsement for Pete Rose’s inclusion in baseball’s Hall of Fame?

It’s even less of a surprise when you consider the guy had dinner with baseball’s all-time hit king prior to hitting the stage.

Is it too late to have Vedder replace Bud Selig as baseball’s commissioner?
