Editorial: Thank You Bucs for beating those crappy pussycats

I hate the Carolina Panthers. Oh sure at first it was no big deal, the Bucs played the Panthers at Clemson’s Tiger Stadium in 1995 and they put up a good fight which had me a little upset that we couldnt beat an expansion team by more. I should have known it would be a miserable existence. The next year, Tony Dungy began a turn around the the Bucs were looking so good winning 3 in a row, before losing to the Panthers 28-0. For the next few year, I just took Carolina for granted. Then came that sickening blocked Extra point. That was it…that began the true hate I have for this despicable franchise. Remember, this is the place where Martin Gramatica faced the little big horn. And a punter who sounds like a hot dog condiment, Todd Saurbrun, made fun of Gramatica when he was at his lowest point. What a scumbag. You know in 2004, an 8-8 team could have gone to the playoffs. Those dirtbags knocked us out. Then you have the destruction of Chris Simms; no Im not talking about the spleen, that is another story all together. I mean Simms taking over for a broken kneed Brian Griese and Carolina beating us 34-14. Finally in 05 Jon Gruden took a great gameplan into Charlotte. Just in time for that spleen thing again. I had an email offering me a reduced ticket that Carolina fans did not take the opportunity to acquire. So I got a ticket only to find out I was surrounded by Panther fans. I had to leave I was so sick from being around these people. If Torry Cox doesnt drop that ball at the end of the game, we win that thing! I mean come on, do I need to go on? T his is the team that started out sickening decline! 301 rushing yards, knocking out Clifton Smith, driving on us at the end of the game to rob Josh Johnson of a win. Thank You Buccaneers, for avenging all of that.
