Jacoby Ellsbury had X-rays and a CT scan in Tampa Bay last night but no definitive injury was discovered after he complained of new pain in his left side. The pain was in a location different from his earlier rib injury. The team quickly brought Darnell McDonald back and will option Scott Atchison to AAA.

So we got Mac on the phone, told him we were thrilled with the adjustments he made while he was gone, [and to] come on back.’’
