There are few trainers in the game as talented, or more accomplished, than Detroit’s Emanuel Steward. The Hall of Fame boxing trainer and HBO Boxing color commentator was the premier cornerman during the 80s and 90s training the likes of Thomas “The Hitman” Hearns, Hilmer Kenty, Lennox Lewis, Vladimir Klitschko, and most recently signing on to corner Miguel Cotto. To say that Steward knows boxing would be a gross understatement. Steward is one of the sports most knowledgeable insiders and continues to enjoy success training both professional fighters, and talented amateurs out of his Kronk Gym.
This Saturday, boxing coaches, boxers, and fans will have an opportunity to learn the tricks of the trade from Steward as he will host a boxing clinic at the Maple Avenue Boxing Gym in Dallas. Steward will teach attendees boxing secrets, punching basics, conditioning tips, balance and footwork, as well as nutrition and wrapping hands.
