It looks like Joel Embiid will miss another season. It has been reported that while Embiid was not experiencing any pain in his foot, his healing process has still regressed. The Sixers are leaning towards sitting Embiid again. There’s thoughts that this setback may even be career threatening.
“I would say there’s a great possibility that Embiid won’t play next year. Just think how long they sat him when they thought he was healthy. They are going to obviously take it slow, but aren’t ready to rule him out for next season yet,” a source told The Inquirier.
This news makes Hinkie’s draft pick, Jahlil Okafor, make much more sense. Okafor was considered “Insurance” by many Sixers fans. Sometimes insurance pays off.
