End of days, but for whom; Clayton or Stovall?

Maurice Stovall and Michael Clayton On the Bubble The two rookies are going to  be pushing everyone, so it  wont be them. The  amazing late round story  that was Sammy  Stroughter…too valuable to  be him. Nope, cant find a singe one of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receivers that look like they could be practice squad material, can you? For the most part, there will be six Wide Receivers for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and they will probably only take 5 into the regular season. Arrelious Benn Mike Williams Sammy Stroughter The Bucs Traded for Reggie Brown. Then there is Michael Clayton and Maurice Stovall. We all know Clayton’s story. A fantastic near rookie of the year 2004 season in which Jon Gruden fed him the ball with the absence of Keenan McCardell due to hold out and Joey Galloway due to injury. But the very next season, Clayton started to underachieve, and it really has been a pattern repeated each year; He looks good in camp, maybe this is the year Clayton regains his form, dropped passes galore, great blocking that springs a TD and we remember that WR are on the field for more than just catching passes. They are also on the field for Special Teams duty. Something Maurice Stovall knows all about. After coming to Tampa Bay in 2006, he broke into some playing time later in the year, and had a nice game vs the Bears later in that year behind Tim Rattay’s comeback attempt. But the next year, Stovall amassed a total of 86 receiving yards. Even less in 2008. Last year however, he picked up 366 yards on 24 catches, which maybe be a determining factor in deciding what to do with the troubled twosome. Of the two, Stovall probably impressed a little more last season. Clayton has his opening day vs. Dallas, but Stovall was a little more steady, and excels on Special Teams. The Two rookies are going to stay on the active roster, perhaps one may take awhile before he blossoms into a full time wide receiver, but you can bet with this deep draft it wont take long for Greg Olsen to get his money makers on the field. Well, YOUNG money makers. One money maker who went to the bank last year to make sure his checks were still being deposited?? Some say he wont be around to see the Browns. Or Will it be Stovall? The countdown ticker is under 100 Bucs fans!
