I often wonder what opposing teams, their beat reporters and bloggers
are saying about the Celtics after playing the Celtics. Here's a dose
of 'enemy chatter' from New Jersey.

Then when it looked like the Celtics were ready to take control of the
game, the Nets showed some rare fortitude, going punch-for-punch

basket to give the Celtics a 66-65 lead, Lopez put eight straight
points into the right basket, including a powerful two-handed jam that
put the Nets up 73-71 with 30 seconds left in the quarter. They went
into the fourth leading 73-72.

how you expect the league’s best defensive team to behave.
“They’re
a good team but we ran our stuff (and it) worked — we were battling,”
said Devin Harris, who had 17 points and eight assists. “We took their
hits, we took their runs, we came back. They’re a good team and they
run great stuff in the fourth quarter. They get those shots and they
make them — that’s why they’re the Celtics — but I’m proud of the way
the guys battled tonight.”
