Enemy Chatter: Hawks took shots the Celtics wanted them to take

Chatter

I often wonder what opposing teams, their beat reporters and bloggers are saying about the Celtics after playing the Celtics. Here's a dose of 'enemy chatter' from Atlanta.

I felt that the Hawks did a really good job for about three and a half quarters executing but there were too many wasted possessions late where the Hawks ended up taking the shot that the Celtics wanted them to take.

It was apparent at the end that Boston wasn't going to allow Joe Johnson to even dribble the basketball late which is why Jannero Pargo found himself so open for the game-winning attempt at the end of regulation.

If that is the case then it might not be the best strategy to force feed the ball into that situation. If the Hawks are going to beat the Celtics in a playoff series then they are going to have to get creative at crunchtime because it is going to be hard to force anything through Boston's defense.

The Celtics defense… doin' work.

Not a lot of talk about the officiating from the Hawks bloggers. Now I didn't watch the game, but from what I glean from Twitter and the CSNNE post-game show, the officials were awful.
