Enemy Chatter: Jamal Crawford’s Reign of Awesomeness

I often wonder what opposing teams, their beat reporters and bloggers
are saying about the Celtics after playing the Celtics. Here's a dose
of 'enemy chatter' from Atlanta.

So say nothing bad about what it means that Crawford thinks he can
shoot horrible shots all over the place down the stretch. Instead,
yell, cuss, toast, pound your chest, and name your pet crab Crawstation
about the awesomeness. Because damnation that was pretty. I love Flip
Murray, and Hot Flip was so pretty I darn near put the phrase in my
wedding vows, but on the moderately rare night Jamal is on fire, you
can put your Hot Flip nostalgia to pasture and take an ice bath because
Jamal Crawford is going to burn the whole house down.

Peachtree Hoops – Jamal Crawford Idiotically Destroys Celtics in Reign of Awesomeness

"In the third quarter, our defense really picked it up. They (Boston)
made a run as all great teams do, but we withstood it," said Atlanta
head coach Mike Woodson.

"We have five, six and seven guys that can score. We didn't have a
meltdown all night and that's the sign of a good team. It was a total
team effort," said Woodson.

His seventh, eighth, ninth and 10th points were on the 21st
four-point play of his career. Against a double team, he lost control
of the ball, tracked it down in the corner and without hesitation – and
with about 14 seconds still on the shot clock – he chucked up a
3-pointer and got fouled by Boston center Kendrick Perkins in the
process.

Said Crawford, "I knew it was good as soon as I let it go."

Said Hawks forward Josh Smith,
"He hits that in practice all the time when we scrimmage against him.
It's unbelievable when he does it then and it was unbelievable today."
