LONDON – Tottenham Hotspur are giving new manager Mauricio Pochettino supposed full reins over this team to help them advance into Champions League.
While he hasn’t made much of an impact in the transfer window, much more help is need. Enter Memphis Depay.
Depay is one of a kind type of talent who could offer the type of spark that Spurs desperately need. As of now, the position that Tottenham is truly lacking at is left winger, which Depay plays at. He has extraordinary pace, and is very good at cutting into the middle, as he has a dominant right foot. In Eredivisie last season, he proved his worth by scoring twelve goals and assisting on eight goals in 32 appearances.
He was an exciting player who showed he can do in the Premier League. In addition, he excelled at the World Cup this summer when he scored two goals and had one assist in only four appearances.
This player would fit in beautifully at Spurs as a major hole on the left side of the attack. If signed he would be joining a phenomenal duo of Erik Lamela and Christian Eriksen forming a tantalizing trilogy of attacking midfielders.
These three alone could push Tottenham into the Champions League as they offer youth and talent an almost complete Spurs side.
Hopefully, Daniel Levy opens his pockets up and goes all in.
