Entertainment Roundup: Little Late to the Party

duck-decoder-blog480 copyI like to try new things constantly, especially new TV Shows, movies, fashion, etc. But sometimes, I’m skeptical and feel that I have better uses of my time. Here’s what I’ve been holding out on, and found out that I was really late to the party!

Duck Dynasty
I’ve heard great things, and perplexed thoughts in regards to the family featured on A&E’s Duck Dynasty. I started watching first season a couple of days ago. The family had me from their first beaver reference, and they weren’t joking. The Robertson’s own a duck call company, but it’s their antics outside of the warehouse that make me breakdown laughing. I can’t get enough of their honesty, and how much they believe in living off the land. They’ve also changed my minds about beavers being loveable, cute creatures.

Breaking Bad
I totally missed the boat on this one. Five season behind, I started getting caught up last summer and IT WAS WORTH IT! Breaking bad is extremely suspenseful and alluring. It shows a side of the world that I was not familiar with. I’m not sure how I came to root for the meth cooks, but the ups and downs of Breaking Bad will definitely leave you cheering for more.

Coach purses
Everyone and their mother has a Coach purse. In the past, I could’ve cared less and did. I liked a square tote purse with multiple compartments, never anything expensive. But finally when I got a part-time job in retail, I became intrigued by the Coach department. Although they are quite expensive, they are cute and durable. With all of my coupons and discounts, my new Coach purse cost the same amount as the cheap ones I had been buying. And I can tell this one will last much longer than those ever did.

The Hobbit
My distaste for The Hobbit was definitely the result of listening to too many critics. Obviously the filming of the movie, took years. And during that time, they had money and production issues. I thought the whole thing was in shambles. Even though, I was a big LOTR movie fan, I have any interest in The Hobbit, the book that I had heard was sooo boring. Well, I watched the movie over the weekend and it was great. Just as good as LOTR, with tons of new cast members to sink my teeth into.
