With actors such as Will Smith, Tom Hardy, and Ryan Gosling reportedly attached to the film, it is certainly looking to shape up as a potential blockbuster. However, it might be Hollywood’s new it girl, Margot Robbie that will steal the show, per comicbook.com.

Best known for her role in the Martin Scorsese-directed, Leonardo DiCaprio vehicle, The Wolf Of Wall Street and in ABC’s short-lived Pan Am alongside Christina Ricci, Robbie is an up-and-coming actress from Australia. While not known well yet, the 24-year-old Margot might take the step towards A-lister with this new venture.

It is unknown what character Robbie will play in the film, however there are numerous female roles in the Suicide Squad that she can take on which include, Duchess, Enchantress, and Amanda Woller.

The Suicide Squad tells the story of a group of super-villains brought together to preform high-risk black ops missions for the government. The film, which will be directed by David Ayers, is looking to be released in 2016.  The film will look to jumpstart Robbie’s career into even greater heights, as she already has signed on to play Jane in the upcoming live adaptation of Tarzan. In addition, Robbie was linked to play the female lead, Motoko Kusanagi in the live-action movie adaptation of Masamune Shirow’s cyberpunk utopian action thriller, Ghost In The Shell, a role which reportedly has gone to Scarlett Johansson.

Suicide Squad is certainly looking like it has the potential to be a hit for Warner Brothers. With such an established cast being rumored, fans will have plenty of reasons to want to see this big-screen adaptation.
