Something is definitely stupid, Ernesto, and I don’t think it is the A’s. Confidence is great and all, but let’s not go and unnecessarily give the division rival bulletin board material. And homer-prone closers, in particular, should be careful of tempting the baseball gods to smite said closer with a heavy dose of karma to make sure the prediction goes tragically wrong.
