ESPN Ranks Rangers 17th Best Organization

ESPN Insider released their organizational rankings and placed the Rangers at #17…

Michael Del Zotto (20th overall, 2008) and Derek Stepan (51st overall, 2008), both 1990 born, have already played a role with the Rangers. Chris Kreider (19th overall, 2009) is ready to be a Ranger, but he’ll be back at Boston College instead. A dimensional skater with speed and quickness, he has the size and a big-time shot to impress. The 10th overall pick from 2010, Dylan McIlrath, is certainly tough enough and gritty enough to play, but may need a little more time. While the Rangers wait, Tim Erixon, the former 23rd overall pick of the Calgary Flames, is a D-man who could surprise soon. Also on the radar: JT Miller (15th overall, 2011) and Christian Thomas (40th overall, 2010).

Hockey’s Future ranked the Rangers #7, while Hockey Prospectus ranks them #21.

…between Hockey Prospectus and now ESPN, I’ve never felt more confident that the Rangers prospects will lead this team to a Stanley Cup very soon.
