When it comes time for the Penn State coaching staff to evaluate 2013 offensive tackles, they might be able to see their top two targets on one trip to Illinois. We have already shared Wheaton (IL) St. Francis Kyle Bosch with you, but just a 20 jaunt down I-355 will lead you to Lemont (IL) High School, who’s football program includes stand-out Ethan Pocic.
“I have offers from Illinois, Purdue, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Arizona, West Virginia and Notre Dame,” Pocic recently told NittanyLionsDen.com. He added that he has taken unofficial visits to Wisconsin, Notre Dame and Purdue.
What is it that has at least seven BCS programs vying for Ethan’s services? “I come off the ball quick. And I’m tough, I’m not afraid to put people on their back,” he said.
What is Pocic looking for in a future program? “The coaches and players [are important],” he said. He later continued, “A winning tradition, too.”
Ethan Pocic self-reports himself at 6’6″ and 285 lbs. His last squat and bench were 420 and 305 respectively, but he suspects that those numbers may have risen.
