Evan Turner will miss at least one game with injured eye

The Celtics have been dealing with a few nagging things over the past few weeks… and now they’ll be without Evan Turner the next time they take the court.

“Evan is good. He’s at home,” Stevens said before practice. “He’s not going to be here today, not going to practice today. He’s not going to play [Wednesday]. But he should be day-to-day after that. The ophthalmologist saw him [Monday] and obviously, if he were to play [Wednesday], he would probably be a day ahead of schedule and force him to wear goggles, whatever the case may be.

“We’re hopeful that he can be feeling pretty good by Friday. So, I think giving him that extra two days is a probably a good thing anyway.”

Assuming Avery Bradley is back from his excused absence for personal reasons, we’re looking at more Marcus Smart and Terry Rozier in the backcourt to make up for ET’s absence.

Turner has been hitting some huge shots down the stretch lately, but hopefully the Celtics won’t need that against the New Orleans Pelicans. However, it IS that dreaded “first game back after a long road trip”… which is almost always a tough game.
