The Florida Everblades have acquired defenseman Brent Henley from the Fort Wayne Komets in exchange for cash.
The 32 year old Henley netted a goal, nine assists and 145 penalty minutes in 42 games with Fort Wayne this season. The 6-7, 250-pound defenseman went scoreless and had nine penalty minutes in five games this year with the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL.
Henley led the CHL with a +29 rating and 201 penalty minutes, last season with the Komets. He has appeared in 114 AHL games throughout his career, and has played in 223 ECHL games The eleven year pro totaled 11 goals, 65 assists and 1,999 penalty minutes during his career.
