The Florida Everblades have signed forward Rocco Carzo and defensman Mike Cornell.
According to the Everblades website:
Carzo, 22, joins the ‘Blades after posting a career best 19 points (9g, 10a) in 34 games played during his senior season at University of Massachusetts-Amherst. The 6-1, 203-pound forward totaled 48 points (18g, 30a) in his four-year collegiate career with the Minutemen. The Media, Pennsylvania native also played two seasons with the USHL’s Des Moines Buccaneers totaling 51 points from 2007-2009.
Cornell, 25, heads to Florida after setting a career best 10 points (3g, 7a) this season at the University of Maine. The 6-0, 195-pound blue-liner registered 29 points (5g, 24a) during his four seasons with the Black Bears. The Franklin, Massachusetts native accumulated 27 points (6g, 21a) in 45 appearances with the Manchester Jr. Monarchs (EJHL) during the 2008-09 season.
