Everyone Point and Laugh at the Cubs

I don’t care if both teams are hopelessly out of the race.  I don’t care that by trading Ted Lilly, the Cubs basically ceded third place in the division to the Brewers.  I don’t care that the Cubs are possibly playing the worst week of baseball in recent memory.

It always feels incredible to beat the Cubs.

Call it Little Brother Syndrome, call it spiteful, call it whatever you want.  But I love beatdowns like this.

Simply put, this is the most beautiful box score I’ve seen in awhile.

Of course, there are two more games in the series, and you have to hope the Brewers didn’t spend a week’s worth of offense in one game (I’m only half kidding).  But after getting swept by the Astros, looking horrible against Chicago in just about every other game they’ve played, and seeing them drill Yovani Gallardo once and Carlos Gomez twice (the second time in the helmet), this was absolutely what we needed to see.

The games might not mean that much anymore, but at the very least we hope to be entertained every night.  I don’t know if you’re going to get a more entertaining game from the Brewers’ standpoint the rest of the year.

If you can’t get enough reactions from this game, here are some of the best:
