“Just prayed for him,” defensive end Robert Mathis said after the Colts’ 34-24 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. “All football aside, you just hope he’s safe.”
Not that perspective was needed considering the seriousness of the situation, but Collie’s wife, Brooke, provided it last week. She delivered the couple’s first child, a son.
“He’s got a little man now,” Mathis said. “You just pray for him and hope he comes out on the good side.”
