Exasperation

I’m running out of ways to say, “I’m sick of the Pirates playing crappy baseball and losing and basically starting every game down 2-0 because their manager is a meddling, fumbling dolt with no concept of in-game management,” but that’s still true. It’s true every night until they win, which to be honest doesn’t seem like something that’s going to happen any time soon unless it happens by accident. They tried to win by accident last night (two-run double by the pitcher that lead to a third run), and failed at that. I guess they’ll try again tonight.

Aaron Harang pitches for the Padres. Ignore his ERA and his record: he’s still not very good. Before he left Cincinnati for PetCo, he was very homer-happy, so maybe the Pirates can take advantage there, even if they’re not all that good at hitting home runs. Solo Homer Karstens goes for the Pirates tonight.

First pitch is at 7:05. Huge amounts of anger and frustration are penciled in for 9:45.
