faith
[feyth]
The English word faith is dated from 1200–50, from the Latin fidem, or fidēs, meaning trust, akin to fīdere, which means to trust. To me, when I read this passage: I took on a whole new thought to what faith in a person / team is, here’s my thoughts.
Trust: do I trust the Red Sox are doing the best to the ability, the hand their dealt? Yes, 100%. Do I trust Theo and Tito that they’re making the right decisions, yes. Do I believe that from the surface and the lack of big moves before the deadline it’s not clear what their intentions are short term? definitely easily to misunderstand. I think they’re presented with a long term vs short term decisions, and I have to TRUST that the right decisions were made for the long term development of the team.
So I’m not asking to keep the faith: I think we all believe, and want the best, so that’s an easy one: I’m asking we TRUST, to fidere, in the FO and ownership. . . . . LETS GO RED SOX.
