Fantasy Football Start And Sit – Week Eleven

pittsburghfootballpassionsteelerschickshirt

RECORD LAST WEEK: 9-9

OVERALL: 100-72-2

Buffalo at Miami

Start: Buffalo Defense

This should be a good matchup of two surprisingly good defenses.  Buffalo’s defense will have the edge, but both are fine this week.

Sit: Lamar Miller, RB, MIA

Last time out, Buffalo held Miller to just 46 yards on 11 carries.  I do not expect that to change here.

Minnesota at Chicago

Start: Jay Cutler, QB, CHI

WHAT???  Yes, even after one of the worst games in Chicago Bears history, Cutler is a start this week as I expect he will throw like a man possessed at home.  Expect 350 yards, 3 touchdowns, 2 interceptions.

Sit: Jerick McKinnon, RB, MIN

If anyone is going to have a big game for the Vikings, Teddy Bridgewater will.  McKinnon is going to be an afterthought in a storming pass game.

Houston at Cleveland

Start: Arian Foster, RB, HOU

Cleveland has the fifth worst run defense in the league, and who else are the Texans going to rely on?

Sit: Ben Tate/Terrence West, RB, CLE

While both running backs have been fine this year, the running back by committee eliminates a great deal of their fantasy value.

Seattle at Kansas City

Start: Marshawn Lynch, RB, SEA

Remember the days of Kansas City being the feared place to play, and Seattle making due with a game manager quarterback?  My, times have changed.  Lynch will be the focus as Kansas City is the best in the league against the pass.

Sit: Dwayne Bowe, WR, KC

Amazing.  Bowe has 39 catches this year… and zero scores.  I am starting to think he is cursed.

Atlanta at Carolina

Start: Matt Ryan, QB, ATL

Um… did you see what Mark Sanchez did last week?  Matt Ryan is a lot better, and should show it this week.

Sit: Jonathan Stewart, RB, CAR

He is definitely the hot back in Carolina, with DeAngelo Williams still shaking off rust, but with the Falcons being the worst in the league against the pass, Cam Newton will do more work than normal this week.

Cincinnati at New Orleans

Start: Drew Brees, QB, NO

Between Jimmy Graham, Brandin Cooks, and Kenny Stills, any thoughts that Brees is not the quarterback he used to be should be banished away.

Sit: Mohamed Sanu, WR, CIN

Time to get off the Sanu train.  AJ Green was targeted 10 times last week, and is getting healthier.  Sanu drops to being the fourth option for Andy Dalton behind Green, Giovani Bernard, and Jermaine Gresham.

Tampa Bay at Washington

Start: DeSean Jackson, WR, WSH

It really does not matter if Kirk Cousins or RGIII is throwing the ball, Jackson has been the most consistent player for the Redskins this year.  His 21.8 yards per catch are easily the best in the NFL.  The top nine wide receivers in the NFL average 91 passes thrown at them.  Jackson has had 60, yet he is tenth in yards.  Amazing.

Sit: Josh McCown, QB, TB

Barry Cofield returns for the Redskins, so I do not see McCown repeating his 300 yard performance.

Denver at St. Louis

Start: Peyton Manning, QB, DEN

An indoor game, with the Rams quarterback situation in flux, and the Broncos fighting to secure a top seed and hold off Kansas City in their division.  Why would you NOT start him?

Sit: Any Rams player not named Brian Quick

Shaun Hill looks to get the start, but it is hard to imagine him suddenly lighting a fire under the Rams.  The entire offense is in bad shape right now.

San Francisco at New York (N)

Start: Anquan Boldin, WR, SF

Vernon Davis has vanished this year.  Frank Gore is heating up, but an injury risk with Carlos Hyde waiting to steal carries.  Someone will perform for the 49ers, it might as well be Boldin.

Sit: Eli Manning, QB, NYG

San Francisco has the fifth best pass defense in the league.  This is where 2013 Eli shows up.
