Fantasy Football Start And Sit – Week Five

Murray State

RECORD LAST WEEK: 9-11 (Week 3)
OVERALL: 28-27-1

Back to work after a Week 4 hiatus

Minnesota at Green Bay

Start: Aaron Rodgers, QB, GB

He’s been up and down this season, but a home game against Minnesota has been a strength for him in the past.

Sit: Teddy Bridgewater, QB, MIN

While he was hot in his first start last week, he’s hobbled on a short week.

Chicago at Carolina

Start: Cam Newton, QB, CAR

The Bears pass defense (outside of Kyle Fuller) couldn’t stop a high school team right now. With Williams and Stewart hurt, it’s the Cam Show for Carolina

Sit: Matt Forte, RB, CHI

Forte is suffering a lot right now with the Bears inability to rush the football.

Cleveland at Tennessee

Start: Cleveland Defense

The Titans looked lost last week against Indy. Even if Locker returns, it won’t be enough.

Sit: Any Tennessee Running Back

See above. Bishop Sankey can’t get any traction right now.

St. Louis at Philadelphia

Start: Jeremy Maclin, WR, PHI

This should be a big game for Nick Foles, and Maclin is the lead benefactor

Sit: Zac Stacy, RB, STL

With Austin Davis slinging the ball as well as he has been, Stacy just isn’t getting the touches.

Atlanta at New York (N)

Start: Matt Ryan, QB, ATL

While Eli Manning went crazy last week and Ryan fell back to Earth, I can see the reverse happening this week.

Sit: Rashad Jennings, RB, NYG

He went berserk on the Redskins last week. I don’t see it happening again.

Tampa Bay at New Orleans

Start: Jimmy Graham, TE, NO

Drew Brees slings the ball to a lot of targets, but Graham is consistently his favorite, and will be again against a battered Tampa defense.

Sit: Doug Martin, RB, TB

Mike Glennon was strong though the air last week, and Tampa will find itself behind a lot this week.

Houston at Dallas

Start: DeMarco Murray, RB, DAL

No running back is more on fire right now than Murray, fumbles and all.

Sit: Houston Defense

J.J. Watt cannot play Superman for the Texans every week. This one could get ugly.

Buffalo at Detroit

Start: Calvin Johnson, WR, DET

He was held in check last week. Expect him to explode against a reeling Buffalo team.

Sit: Kyle Orton, QB, BUF

Kyle Orton versus the Detroit pass rush? Nope. This is what nightmares are made of.

Baltimore at Indianapolis

Start: Andrew Luck, QB, IND

Baltimore is 24th in the league against the pass. Luck is on fire. Enough said.

Sit: Baltimore Defense

The Colts are scoring at a crazy rate. Until Luck cools off, opposing defenses are bad starts.

Pittsburgh at Jacksonville

Start: Pittsburgh Defense

Blake Bortles was okay last week, but interceptions will be a part of his growing process.

Sit: Allen Hurns, WR, JAX

Until Bortles is more comfortable, Hurns will only have his Week 1 to look back on.

Seattle at Washington

Start: Russell Wilson, QB, SEA

Did you SEE what Eli Manning did to them?

Sit: Kirk Cousins, QB, WSH

You can’t trust Cousins against the best pair of safeties in the NFL.
