Fantasy Football Start And Sit – Week Twelve

RECORD LAST WEEK: 10-7-1

OVERALL: 110-79-3

Kansas City at Oakland

Start: Jamaal Charles, RB, KC

Charles is the clear workhorse for the Chiefs, who are second-to-last in the NFL in passing yards.  If anyone will have a good night, it is Jamaal.

Sit: Derek Carr, QB, OAK

Poor guy.  Not having as rough a first season as his older brother (and face it, an NFL-record 76 sacks would ruin anyone’s year) but when he is one of the lone bright spots on this offense, it is hard to try and start him even if you are desperate.

Tampa Bay at Chicago

Start: Matt Forte, RB, CHI

With Jay Cutler’s inconsistency and the injuries to Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffrey, Forte has been the old reliable points machine.  That will not change against a bottom-10 Tampa Bay defense.

Sit: Bobby Rainey, RB, TB

Even against a porous Chicago run defense, Rainey will find it hard to get traction.

Cleveland at Atlanta

Start: Cleveland Defense

With all of the weapons the Falcons have, you would think they would be doing better.  Apparently not.

Sit: Julio Jones, WR, ATL

He is slowed by an ankle injury, and now has an illness that kept him out of practice.  Roddy White is the better option this week.

Tennessee at Philadelphia

Start: LeSean McCoy, RB, PHI

One of these days McCoy will get back to the Top-3 fantasy running back he was supposed to be.  Facing the second worst run defense in the league cannot hurt.

Sit: Bishop Sankey, RB, TEN

In a game where the Titans led for much of the second half, Sankey got just 11 carries.  Does that sound like fantasy success to you?

Detroit at New England

Start: Rob Gronkowski, TE, NE

This is a brutal Detroit defense, so scoring plays will be at a premium.  As a result, Brady will look to his favorite target more than ever.

Sit: Calvin Johnson, WR, DET

Megatron travels over to Revis Island, and while a fully healthy Calvin Johnson would leave cleat marks all over Revis’s chest, he is not 100%.

Green Bay at Minnesota

Start: Aaron Rodgers, QB, GB

Yikes.  Minnesota got a gimme with a battered Jay Cutler, and they watched him throw for 330 and 3 scores.  Think a red-hot Rodgers will do any better?

Sit: Vikings Defense

This is not going to be pretty.  The Packers offense is clicking at an absurd level.  “Greatest Show on Turf” level.

Jacksonville at Indianapolis

Start: Andrew Luck, QB, IND

Do not let the loss to the Patriots fool you.  The Jaguars defense is not nearly as good.

Sit: Allen Hurns, WR, JAX

Denard Robinson is the best weapon the Jaguars have.  Allen Robinson is a decent possession threat.  That does not leave a lot of room for Hurns.

Cincinnati at Houston

Start: Andy Dalton, QB, CIN

Second worst pass defense?  Check.  Healthier A.J. Green?  Check.  Bengals fighting to hold serve over the Steelers?  Check.  Now or never for the Red Rifle.

Sit: J.J. Watt, DE, HOU

There is officially a petition to have Watt be available as a free agent at the flex position.  These people need to stop.  Watt is the best defensive player in the NFL this season.  That’s it.  He is not going to do more than that.

New York (A) at Buffalo

Start: Buffalo Defense

If this game actually manages to take place in Buffalo, defense will rule the day.  If they have to move it indoors, this will change.  In other words, avoid everyone in this matchup.

Sit: See above.

Arizona at Seattle

Start: Drew Stanton, QB, ARZ

He played well last week against a tough Lions defense.  If there is any game to show what he can do, this is it.

Sit: Seahawks defense

The Cardinals are winning through mitigating turnovers (Stanton’s 2 INTs last week not withstanding).  That gives the Seahawks a really low profit margin this week.
